Call of Duty Modern Warfare III is a first-person shooter video game developed by Sledgehammer Games and published by Activision. It is a sequel to Call of Duty Modern Warfare II, and serves as the twentieth installment in the overall Call of Duty series. Like its predecessor, the game takes place in a realistic and modern setting. The campaign story follows multi-national special operations unit Task Force 141 tracking down Vladimir Makarov, a Russian ultranationalist and terrorist planning to trigger a third World War.
