Doom The Dark Ages is a first-person shooter game developed by id Software and published by Bethesda Softworks. It is the eighth main entry in the Doom franchise, following Doom Eternal. Set years before the events of Doom, this story transports the Doom Slayer to the world of Argent D'Nur. He arrives to find the Argenta people locked in a brutal, long-running war with Hell. The narrative follows the Slayer's integration into their society and his fight to save humanity from the cunning and devastating invasion led by Ahzrak, the current Prince of Hell.
