The Witcher Enhanced Edition

I have a deep appreciation for The Witcher 2 and The Witcher 3, which is why I decided to give the first installment a chance. Unfortunately, this particular game didn't resonate with me. The combat mechanics left much to be desired, and it failed to capture my interest. While the storytelling in this game, like in every other Witcher title, may be exceptional, other aspects of the game failed to hold my attention, leaving me somewhat disappointed.

F.E.A.R. 2 Reborn Reborn is a solid experience that offers up some genuinely fun Scary moments and the game delivers a tense final battle and a true climax that will have you pining for a sequel.

Wolfenstein

With powerful weapons at your disposal, supernatural powers with the help of The Veil, and plenty of eerie Nazi soldiers to kill, the fun never stops. Wolfenstein is an awesome blend of old-school memories and next-gen ideas assembled into a rewarding game experience you can’t afford to miss.

Bionic Commando

Bionic Commando is a bag of mixed sensations. It's a fun game with some clever moments, but it's also one with an annoying lack of liberty, a deficient AI and controls that no always respond as well as they should. If the level design did a better job of integrating exploration, platforming, and environmental puzzles, it could have overcome its deficiencies on the combat front.

Call of Juarez Bound in Blood

Call of Juarez Bound in Blood has one of the best Western FPS games period with one of the grittiest story lines this side of a Clint Eastwood movie. With its solid graphics and audio mixed with the outstanding gameplay this is one of the best action games for the hot summer nights.

ARMA 2

ARMA 2 doesn't seem to be a finished game. The AI is cheating, physics and controls are out of date and the game is full of annoying bugs. That the game manages to look great from time to time doesn't help much. The multitude of bugs that you will face really take you out of the fight before you've even been felled by enemy fire.

Prototype

One of the best games to release this generation and is definitely the best game to drop in 2009. Outside of the lackluster stealth and disguising mechanic, the brutal combat, huge open-world, varied challenges, and utterly satisfying gameplay makes this a must-have title for any serious gamer's collection. Get ready to put your life on hold!

Plants vs. Zombies

The most outstanding feature of this incredibly fun title is its personality. Every inch of Plants vs. Zombies is jam-packed with humor and attention to detail, and I never once stopped enjoying its clever take on the genre even after I had exhausted everything it had to offer. Do not miss this game -- titles this good don't come around often.

Velvet Assassin

Velvet Assassin’s strengths are in its quiet, richly narrative version of World War II. The stealth mechanic is very specific and rigidly pattern-based, but it presents its scenarios incredibly well.

Company of Heroes Tales of Valor

Company of Heroes Tales of Valor may not be what longtime Company of Heroes fans were expecting from Relic's expansion, but the game still delivers a great experience from start to finish.

Command & Conquer Red Alert 3 Uprising

If you're a Command & Conquer fan who can't get enough, or feel like your skills haven't properly been tested, then Command & Conquer Red Alert 3 Uprising was made for you. There's plenty of single-player gameplay to churn through, and no one tops the series' blend of live-action cinematics and candy-colored, fun gameplay.

Colin McRae Dirt 2

Colin McRae Dirt 2 might look good but plays very badly, it's a letdown for Colin McRae series fans. The rally content is scarce, and the controls are very hard and badly implemented, making it tough for those who loved the original games to enjoy this one.

The Saboteur

Pandemic Studios delivers one of its best efforts, offering an experience that innovates both the sandbox and World War 2 genres. The Saboteur is not without its flaws, but its slick action, cinematic style, and colorful characters rise above its shortcomings.

Serious Sam HD The First Encounter

Serious Sam HD The First Encounter is a great purchase for both fans of the series and newcomers. Those who have grown up on modern shooters may find the primitive design and simplistic objectives a bit jarring, but the purity of the gameplay simply has to be respected.
