Velvet Assassin

Velvet Assassin’s strengths are in its quiet, richly narrative version of World War II. The stealth mechanic is very specific and rigidly pattern-based, but it presents its scenarios incredibly well.

Company of Heroes Tales of Valor

Company of Heroes Tales of Valor may not be what longtime Company of Heroes fans were expecting from Relic's expansion, but the game still delivers a great experience from start to finish.

Command & Conquer Red Alert 3 Uprising

If you're a Command & Conquer fan who can't get enough, or feel like your skills haven't properly been tested, then Command & Conquer Red Alert 3 Uprising was made for you. There's plenty of single-player gameplay to churn through, and no one tops the series' blend of live-action cinematics and candy-colored, fun gameplay.

Colin McRae Dirt 2

Colin McRae Dirt 2 might look good but plays very badly, it's a letdown for Colin McRae series fans. The rally content is scarce, and the controls are very hard and badly implemented, making it tough for those who loved the original games to enjoy this one.

The Saboteur

Pandemic Studios delivers one of its best efforts, offering an experience that innovates both the sandbox and World War 2 genres. The Saboteur is not without its flaws, but its slick action, cinematic style, and colorful characters rise above its shortcomings.

Serious Sam HD The First Encounter

Serious Sam HD The First Encounter is a great purchase for both fans of the series and newcomers. Those who have grown up on modern shooters may find the primitive design and simplistic objectives a bit jarring, but the purity of the gameplay simply has to be respected.

Left 4 Dead 2

Left 4 Dead 2 took a great first-person shooter experience and added fresh new gameplay modes, loads of murdering and surviving accessories from melee weapons to adrenaline shots, all of which continues to satiate my desires for an FPS game that I can happily and easily spend a copious amount of hours on.

Dragon Age Origins

A spectacular experience from beginning to end, and with an enormous amount of choices to make, cities to visit, dungeons to crawl, characters to interact with, treasure to find, quests to complete and crafts to master, I feel pretty confident in saying that Dragon Age Origins is, without a doubt, one of the most enjoyable and immersive Role-playing game I ever played.

Borderlands

Borderlands is one of the worst games I've played. Extremely repetitive lifeless world with no story or characters except a robot with lame humour. Yes you get thousands of guns and only one of them is useful. Borderlands is the worst games i have played this year.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 crosses into the must-have category of video games effortlessly. It offers an unmatched shooter experience with a compelling story. Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 is an example to other developers of the love, care, attention, polish, and guile needed when crafting a sequel. An essential purchase for all FPS fans.

Brütal Legend

Brutal Legend didn't live up to my expectations. While I absolutely loved the immersive world, despite the graphical shortcomings, and the amazing voice work and soundtrack, despite the inclusion of great rock bands, I was left miffed by the lack of main story content and the uninspired gameplay.

Risen

If this were the only Role-playing game available the numerous flaws might be worth suffering, but when compared to the ambition and polish that other games have brought to the genre in recent years Risen demands far too much and offers too little in return.

Need for Speed Shift

Need for Speed SHIFT managed to hook me to the point where I was looking forward to my next session with the game. Not all games can do that, and especially not all racing games, and that tells me that the designers did something right with this one.

Red Faction Guerrilla

If Red Faction Guerrilla was merely a war game, or if it was merely a demolition game, it probably wouldn’t be this great, but the seamless blending of both elements into the massive futuristic landscape of Mars with loads of vehicles and weapons, sinister enemy AI, territory acquisition, and morale balancing, makes this one of the most inventive, addictive game of the year
