Oddworld Abe's Oddysee suffers from poor difficulty balance, making some sections incredibly frustrating. This is compounded by the fact that checkpoints are too sparse, especially considering the often difficult platforming. This unfortunate combination leads to very high iteration times, forcing players to replay lengthy and challenging sections repeatedly after a single mistake.
