Our bond with our mechanical companion might have been even stronger when faced with a bit more hardship - by the time things really kick off, the story is nearly over. Nevertheless, Far Lone Sails' ambiguous, strangely tranquil post-apocalypse is beautifully atmospheric, with a touching message. as long as you have hope, you are never truly alone.
Asterix & Obelix XXXL The Ram From Hibernia is a standard installment into the series. Despite having fun and creative gameplay, there are still a few glitches to be patched. There is an urge when playing to explore further and see things in closer detail. Still, the game is fun to play and easy for younger players to take part with combat and solving puzzles. The game is a positive step in the right direction for the franchise.
Taken as a whole, Trek to Yomi is an impressive homage to classic Japanese action films. It looks and sounds incredible, with art direction and music that are impeccably authentic to both history and cinema. As an action game, Trek to Yomi is engaging but a bit lacking in variety and depth, with controls and animations less polished than its visuals. Trek to Yomi is a fascinating and altogether unique experience, worth playing if you're a fan of great samurai films or simply enjoy new variations on the action game formula.
The Dark Pictures Anthology The Devil in Me does not reach the level of its predecessor The Dark Pictures Anthology House of Ashes, nor that of The Dark Pictures Anthology Man of Medan. The plot lacks twists but overall gameplay mostly sticks to the format to deliver another decent horror adventure.
The game looks beautiful and plays back well, but leaves no lasting impression. Uncharted The Lost Legacy is not a must-play. This solo add-on feels like something we have already played, but it does offer two other cool characters in key roles.
Far Cry 6 is not a bad game, far from it. We have to admit that the scenery of the island of Yara is exotic and the story around Antón Castillo is rather interesting. However, the recipe is starting to run out of steam. The few new features are not enough to make up for a huge but cruelly empty map. As for the scenario, it quickly becomes a bit stale, with quests following one another without really managing to keep us in suspense.
It's hard to talk about Fable III without heaping more and more praise on it. It's one of the best games of the year and one of the richest role-playing experiences to hit the market. It begs to be played by anyone who appreciates a game that is expertly produced in almost every area. Fable III is a highly recommended title for all RPG fans out there
Honestly if not for some minor complaints Red Faction Armageddon would be a damn near perfect game. As it is, this is a strong contender for best game of the year for its fantastic mix of intense action, fun character customization that changes how you play the game, great graphics and all around fantastic gameplay experience. Even the minor flaws are easily ignored and most will likely not even notice them, as wrapped up in the game as they will be.
If there's a game that deserves to be called "old school", this is it. There's hardly a change in gameplay and the graphics are out of date, too. The most remarkable thing about this game is the fact that they actually finished it. Bottom line Duke Nukem Forever was not worth the 15 year wait
In the end, Brink is another of those games that we see every so often; the games that have incredible potential and truly unique ideas but fail in their implementation. This could have been a great game, it could've been a hit and it could've given shooter fans a reason to return to a genre that has lost much of its originality over the last handful of years. Unfortunately for us and for its developer, the keyword here is "could've", because there's little here that makes Brink the genre redefining game some of us hoped it would be.
Considering everything you get with this title a solid single-player campaign with extremely good gameplay. Section 8 Prejudice is a highly recommended title to all FPS fans looking for something fresh to bide.
Shift 2 Unleashed builds upon the firm base of the previous game. And NFS series is back where we want it to be. Perfect graphics, enhanced driving model and the view from the cockpit are the features you will love to experience once more.
Fantastic visuals, fast combat and clever nanosuit mechanics more than compensate for some linear level design, a mediocre story and unvaried enemy design. It's not as good as the first game in the series, but it's a great shooter nonetheless.
It is quite simple. There is not a single modern role-playing game that can stand up to the story-telling and the convincing, atmospheric world of The Witcher 2 Assassins of Kings. In addition to this, CD Projekt simplifies gameplay mechanics wisely, without sacrificing the depth of the overall experience. The Witcher 2 Assassins of Kings is one of the finest examples of how great a role-playing game can be.
