L.A. Noire

L.A. Noire is everything that people expected it to be. It has a fantastic set of stories that drive the game from beginning to end, beautifully motion captured actors and enough gameplay elements to keep the gamer deeply involved. On top of this there is a large city to explore and enjoy. Rockstar certainly brought the goods with this one.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3

While the first two Modern Warfares proved to be the extraordinary work of a single, incredibly talented team, the third instalment in the series stands as a manifesto to what three great teams, working together as one passionate unit, can achieve. It's an improvement over its predecessor in pretty much every aspect and a return to former strength. Sledgehammer and Infinity Ward deliver a natural conclusion to an astounding trilogy - and the best Call of duty since the first Modern Warfare.

Battlefield 3

Fresh and with plenty of personality, Battlefield 3 not only avoids Call of Duty Modern Warfare's shadow but raises itself as the new king of the genre. Shooters don't come much better than this and it's a great way to kick off this year's holiday game rush. As a complete package Battlefield 3 absolutely delivers and it's a must-play.

The Adventures of Tintin The Secret of the Unicorn

Providing a solid story, Good graphic quality, and a nice variety of gameplay mechanics, The Adventures of Tintin The Secret of the Unicorn is an engaging experience that raises the bar for all others.

The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim

I totally don't get this game, it is way overhyped. The graphics are not brilliant, the gameplay is pretty weak, and the fight scenes are less than desirable. Unless I am missing something, this is no more than a cult game. Substandard!

Serious Sam 3 BFE

After ten years, Serious Sam series has strong symptoms of fatigue in its gameplay. Serious Sam 3 BFE is a frenetic old-school FPS, but the lack of innovation and humour is the real wound. Sadly The game doesn't live up to the excellence of its antecedents. A pretty big disappointment.

Afterfall Insanity

You need a clear, unified vision to shape a game into something that makes sense and compels the player to see it through to the end But scares and gameplay in Afterfall fall flat as scene after scene repeat the same notes, turning what could have been a spine-chilling adventure into a treadmill to an unsatisfying finish.

Need for Speed The Run

This is the absolute best racing game I have ever played. The controls are a perfect mix between arcade and simulation where they feel like real cars but can still be driven impatiently. You can really feel the difference in handling, weight, torque, etc. between the cars, and especially between the old and new cars. I'd say that if you're at all interested in cars and racing, you must play this game!

Resident Evil Revelations

Resident Evil Revelations is a poor attempt at returning the series to it's survival horror roots. From slow paced game play to the inability to see your own health bar, it's a mere spin-off that cashes in on the series' popularity instead of providing a fun filled experience.

Kingdoms of Amalur Reckoning

Kingdoms of Amalur Reckoning provides not only fast-action, but also a great story, a cool battle system and beautiful locations. Even if there are a few things you've already seen somewhere else, the developers of the game did a pretty good job.

The Darkness II

The gameplay's extremely fun in the first half hour then it's just plain repetitive, you do the same thing, and even the levels seem identical. And the story's very diluted for a game whose gameplay isn't that engaging, sadly i rarely give up on a game without finishing it but after 3 hours i was plagued with boredom.

Assassin's Creed Revelations

The last chapter of Ezio's trilogy is everything an Assassin's Creed fan could expect. Sure, there are still the classical flaws of the saga, like the lacking AI or the too low level of difficulty, but the beauty of Istanbul and the desire to see the end of such a charismatic character like Ezio will prevail on imperfections.

Dear Esther

With no story or true narrative to latch onto, there's no reason for players to care about what's going on. And there's only one thing ever going on in Dear Esther: nothing. Broken up into individual pieces-the graphics, writing, and music clearly show talent and might have led to interesting stories or games-but together they form a dull, lifeless experience that's quickly forgotten.

Syndicate

I enjoyed the game for what it was. A action packed, futuristic sci-fi FPS. Having not played any of the other Syndicate games I was not sure what to expect but I received a game that looked good, played well, had a compelling enough story to keep me interested and some challenging enough boss battles which provided me with an overall enjoyable experience.
